DePuy Synthes Supports Family Promise in Day of Caring

KENNETT SQUARE, PA – September 7, 2017 – Family Promise of Southern Chester County (FPSCC) has a new look, same great mission. DePuy Synthes selected Family Promise as their nonprofit partner in a Day of Caring volunteer event.

The DePuy Synthes Professional Relations and Operations Team donated their time and talents to give Family Promise an exterior makeover. Volunteers planted over 96 bundles of flowers and spread 40 bags of mulch giving the Family Promise Resource Center curb appeal with an eye-catching splash of color.

“Our Resource Center now has a fresh, new look the entire community can enjoy,” explained Family Promise Executive Director Susan Minarchi. “DePuy Synthes is a caring community partner whose employees give selflessly to make the lives of those less fortunate a little brighter.”

Family Promise of Southern Chester County is dedicated to keeping families together in times of crisis by helping families with children experiencing homelessness regain their housing and their independence. Since November 2015, 31 families (77 children and 40 adults) have made Family Promise their temporary home while rebuilding their lives.

“Our team feels privileged to serve our local community by providing support and service to this special organization and the families that it supports,” said Rachel Quay, DePuy Synthes Director of Professional Relations and Operations.
