Volunteer

There are many different ways to get involved and help Family Promise, with many different levels of commitment. If you choose to volunteer your time to work with families directly, Pennsylvania Law (PA Act 153) requires volunteers who are going to have direct contact with children to have certain clearances completed. Please plan ahead of time, as some of these can take a few weeks to complete. Call us at 610-444-0400 or visit our Contact page for more information about obtaining your clearances.

Before volunteering in either your congregation or at our Resource Center, you must attend a training session. Email Susan Minarchi at sminarchi@familypromisescc.org to get scheduled for a training session and fill out a Volunteer Agreement form with basic contact information.

There are also plenty of opportunities to volunteer and provide support that don’t require clearance. Visit our How You Can Help page to learn about all of the many ways that the community can work together to fight homelessness.
