What We Do

Family Promise of Southern Chester County helps families who are experiencing homelessness in our community to achieve sustainable independence.

Poverty and homelessness are complex problems that require a multifaceted, community-led response. We respond by bringing together educational outreach, smart programming, effective policies, and the hands-on work of hundreds of volunteers. We provide food, shelter, and crucial support services for families experiencing homelessness that address the root causes of homelessness to keep them independent after leaving the program. We also provide advice and advocacy for at-risk families to put measures in place to avoid becoming homeless. Finally, we educate the community about poverty and the means to combat it and ask for their support to provide our services.
